Senekis Electrical switchboards is looking for a Electrical Design Engineer, to be hired with a permanent contract, for its premises in Sindos Industrial Area, Thessaloniki to join the team.

Essential Job Functions:

- Work independently and/or lead a project team to create all documents for customer approval and manufacturing of Medium Voltage switchgears and Low voltage switchboards. Typical documents include:

  • One line diagrams
  • Panel arrangement
  • Electrical schematics
  • Three line drawings
  • Wiring diagrams
  • Nameplate schedule
  • Technical description

- Utilize knowledge of various electrical CAD software packages to complete project work and drive efficiency with process improvements.

- Ideal candidate will be highly experienced in EPLAN P8, ProPanel and able to but not limited to producing EPLAN:

  • Page/part macros(2D/3D)
  • Placeholder objects
  • User-defined forms
  • Wire numbering schemes
  • Device numbering schemes
  • New project templates
  • Master data management

- Provide factory support during the manufacture of your projects to ensure that the final deliverable is true to your design.

- Be a subject matter expert, sharing knowledge of the product and process to help others on the team achieve their goals.

- Lead efforts to improve team processes and tools to drive up overall team efficiency.

- Understand that job descriptions change over time. You are expected to maintain competence, awareness, and compliance with your job.

- Treat all Senekis information and customer information in a confidential manner.

- Understand and efficiently use Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office.

- Traveling if it is required will be among duties

- Communication with customers for support during the installation and maintenance of products

Job Requirements:

Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering

- 3+ years of proven experience working with the design/configuration electrical power distribution products and systems. Preference given to experience with switchgear.

- 3+ years of Electrical CAD design/drafting (create, convert & modify drawings) experience with protection and control or engineering firms

- The CAE Designer will be able to support engineering staff in the production and development of engineering drawings, specifications, requisitions and test documentation for projects. This will include but is not limited to producing:

  • Block Cable Diagrams
  • Schematic Diagrams
  • Cable routing drawings
  • Installation scopes
  • Material lists
  • Cable calculations
  • Equipment layout drawings
  • Loop diagrams
  • Data sheets
  • Equipment requisitions
  • Cabinet layout/wiring drawings
  • Functional Test Specifications
  • Instrument piping drawings
  • Material schedules
  • Minor steelwork/assembly drawings in support of above
  • General CAD drawings, EPlan, ProPanel

- Demonstrated experience mentoring jr. engineers with effective knowledge sharing techniques.

- Proven track record of innovative thinking and process improvement.

- Strong working knowledge of standard protection and control technologies used in medium voltage power distribution products with proven ability to share this knowledge with others. This may include knowledge of SCADA Systems, IEC61850 & DNP3.

- Ability to read, understand and evaluate electrical schematics to identify errors or potential improvements.

- Experience working with and managing bills of material in an ERP system, preference given for experience with Soft1.

- Strong work ethic and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done on time and with high quality.

- Ability to multitask and manage large workloads and business demands.

- Strong written, verbal, mathematical, and interpersonal skills.

- An ideal candidate is detailed orientated, process driven and able to embrace a culture of quality.

- English in excellent level both written and oral

- Availability to travel in Greece or abroad

Considered a plus but not required:

Experience with electrical design for medium voltage switchgear.
